The Association of Northern Scaffold Contractors was formed in 2003 by a group of dedicated owners of scaffold companies based in the North West of England. The common goal was to improve the standard of scaffolding services provided across the North West of England.

The Association will continue to provide first class health and safety Seminars whose guest speakers have included: - One of the UK's leading QC's Gerard Forlin, Gray's Inn, London - Senior Inspectors from the Health and Safety Executive - Leading Health and Safety Lawyers such as Michael Appleby London, Steffan Groch, Manchester The Association have formed an excellent relationship with Gerard Forlin Q.C. and a number of leading Health and Safety Law firms across the United Kingdom who provide legal advice to member companies. All training is provided by Clarke Health and Safety Consultants Limited the leading Scaffolding Consultancy Company in the UK.

Since 2003
the Association has now grown into a well established scaffold trade association that has constantly seen growth year on year of new members joining the Association.

The Association
is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive and the CITB as a Scaffold Trade Association that is setting the highest standards within the Construction Industry.

All Members
are self regulated and as a result of this, there has been major improvements in scaffolding standards across the whole of the UK where Member companies operate.

Jay Willow from Summit Marine Scaffolding he had won a safety award on the new Merseycare. The award was given by Ron Hughes Senior Project Manager for Kier.

These were the other members of the gang that were on site at the time when Jay was given his safety award and Mark Clarke the Safety Consultant bought the cake for the lads so they could have a cup of tea.
